We had our first little brunch party out in our backyard for our new neighbors and friends. Before the party, I knew but only 2-3 people in the invite list of 16 people.
The night before, while prepping the custard dip for the French Toast, wiping champagne glasses and setting up vases of flowers at midnight, I said to myself 'Wow, I'm not in bed but making breakfast for people I don't know, but it feels good and feels right and I can't wait!"
And my gut was right. When it was all over, our hearts were warmed, tummies were filled, great conversations we had and new friends we made. I think that's what makes life wonderful and precious; when you're progressively making new friends, learning new things and laughing a lot!
Ahh, and we're not blaming the mimosas and champagne. :)
