So, get this! Exciting things are afoot here at CP, and no, I'm not just talking about shoes (though we all know that a CP girl loves her heels)! We've recently teamed up with a fantastic new force on the music circuit, having had the extraordinary pleasure of meeting and talking with young musician Savannah Outen. If you haven't heard of her yet, you surely will. She's a rising singer/songwriter with over 60 million views on YouTube, 63,000 followers on Twitter, nearly 11,000 Facebook friends, and a much anticipated, soon-to-be-released set of Christmas songs for the upcoming season. Currently, her new single "Be Original" is at #14 on Radio Disney's Top 30 and we seriously cannot get enough of it. And did we mention she's the sweetest girl EVER? Not to mention a fan of CP! She contacted us to dress her for her new Holiday tunes and we couldn't have been more honored.

This past week, we were lucky enough to be able to interview her with some fun and quirky questions we just had to know about our new favorite star. Audrey sat down with the artist and asked her these budding questions to give you a glimpse of the girl behind the guitar.
What was the name of the first song you wrote?
The first song I wrote was my first single, Goodbyes.
Do you get stage fright?
No. I always get really excited and anxious! When I hear and see the crowd, I’m so pumped.
Do you own any vintage items?
I do! I love vintage clothes. I have a Vintage Beatles shirt that I wear all the time. I also have a Vintage Beach Cruiser that my best friend just got me for my birthday. It’s absolutely amazing.
What's your favorite dessert?
I’d have to say coffee ice cream, or anything chocolate/peanut butter!
And your favorite season of the year?
Fall! I love wearing coats and boots.
What's your favorite song right now?
The Lucky Ones by Brendan James.
Place you want to travel to?
I’ve always wanted to travel to Paris. I have a weird obsession with the Eiffel Tower.
Do you write song using pen and paper?
When I first started writing, I wrote in my journal. It’s cool, because I just came across the journal I wrote Goodbyes in the other day! But recently I’ve been writing on my laptop in a word document.
What song was the hardest to write?
I think the hardest song I’ve ever written was a song called, “Picture On The Wall”. I haven’t released it yet, but I’ve loved the title for some time now. And whenever I’d finish writing the song, I’d come up with a new idea. It’s finished, but I’m sure I’ll re-write it next week. Haha.
What were you doing when you found out your song made it onto the Disney playlist?
I was actually listening to the “Kick It Or Pick It” on the radio. And when I heard “Goodbyes” got a 95% pick it I started crying. I was so happy.
What's your most embarrassing experience?
I almost tripped over my guitar on stage once. Which was really embarrassing. And one time, I hit my microphone on my lip, and it started bleeding. That was also really embarrassing.
And the most awkward place a fan has recognized you?
I met a fan in the bathroom once, which was strange. There was another time where I got noticed in Victoria Secret’s and it was just super awkward haha.
What is the weirdest item you have had to sign?
A pizza box! And there was still 4 pieces of cold pizza inside.
What's your favorite show on T.V.?
The Office <3
And your favorite ice cream flavor?
Peanut Butter Chocolate or Coffee.
Favorite fashion accessory?
I LOVE rings. I’m recently really into long, earrings too.
What is the weirdest item you carry in your purse?
Honestly, I don’t carry anything weird in my purse. The only weird thing is, I always have a pair of sunglasses in my purse even if it’s raining outside, just in case the sun decides to come out haha.
Do you have any quirks about yourself to share?
I’m a dork. I always make jokes, and usually I’m the only person laughing haha.
Why was it important for you to write a Christmas song?
I love the holidays, and Christmas is the best time of year. When I listen to a Christmas song, it puts me in the best mood, so I really wanted to release an original this holiday season. Anna wanted to as well so we decided to write one together! We had the best time writing and recording it. We were in the studio until 5 in the morning in LA. It was crazy.
What is your best Christmas memory?
I think the best memories are just spending time with the family. My favorite thing is just doing all the Christmas activities like Zoo Lights, Caroling, baking cookies, and gift exchanges. Also, on Christmas Day my family and I always see a movie.

We cannot get enough of this girl! Be sure to check out her latest single "Be Original" as well as THIS new music video featuring Tony Oller from the new Nick show, Gigantic. She has tons of fun covers, great sounds, and inspiring styles all over YouTube and she'll be walking down the red carpet this week at the American Music Awards. This budding beauty is a star on the rise, so keep an eye for our girl, Savannah!
